Obama And His Appointees Dismantling US

President Barack Hussein Obama is proceeding to destroy America and has opened up a six-front war to do so:

1. He has a Democratic controlled Congress that is willing to rubber-stamp his wildest schemes, without even reading them…as we’ve already seen. The Democratic Party is now aiding and abetting the demeaning and destruction of America and has become the voice of leftist extremism. The moderates have disappeared or been transformed, issuing only occasional squeaking and whining before following the liberal party line drawn by Mr. Obama. Where have all the Democratic moderates gone?

2. Mr. Obama has immense executive authority, which he has already used to damage the country. One notable example is his decision to try terrorists in New York City, thereby giving the terrorists the premier platform to broadcast their propaganda and recruit Islamic radicals to their cause. Another example is cap and trade by fiat of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), rather than Congressional action.

GOP leader vows to stay to February

With victory finally in sight, Senate Democrats want to ram health care reform through the chamber with as little debate as possible. Republicans say they’ll slow the votes down as much as the arcane rules will allow — until 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve, under current plans.

Three votes are required to get the bill off the Senate floor. All could be done in one day, but Republicans say they’re going to do what in union terms would be called “working to the rule” — requiring 30 hours (including one “intervening day”) before the votes. Read more.

Poll: GOP has best chance since 94 to win NC

House and Senate

A new survey by Raleigh-based Public Policy Polling shows Republicans in their best position in years to take over one or even both chambers in the N.C. General Assembly next year.

The poll by the Democratic-leaning company shows voters evenly split when asked whether they’ll vote for a Republican or Democrat next year. Read more.

Senate Democrats Work to Advance Health Bill Following ‘Big Victory’

Democratic senators worked toward making health care reform their Christmas gift, reconvening on Capitol Hill Monday buoyed by the success of the first in a series of votes on the sweeping overhaul.

Senate Democrats and President Obama touted the momentum behind the package, which is set for a Christmas Eve vote. Senate leaders also won the endorsement Monday from the American Medical Association — the doctors group supported prior versions of the legislation, but the endorsement applied to the latest one unveiled over the weekend. Stalemate: How Obama’s Iran Outreach Failed

Having concluded that President Obama’s outreach has failed to halt Iran’s nuclear program, the final weeks of 2009 find his Administration focused on mustering support for new sanctions against the Islamic Republic. Iran’s rejection of the terms offered thus far by the U.S. and its partners has prompted Obama to largely revert to the Bush Administration’s approach of ultimatums backed by sanctions — with little obvious prospect of producing a substantially different result.

Obama campaigned for the presidency promising a game-changing diplomatic outreach, noting that President Bush’s efforts had failed to prevent Iran from achieving a capacity to enrich uranium. But, under pressure at home and abroad from skeptics of engagement who insist that Iran is drawing perilously close to nuclear weapons capability, Obama gave his engagement effort only until the new year to change the game. With that deadline fast approaching, Iran’s pushback against a deal that would require it to ship out most of its current enriched-uranium stockpile for conversion abroad into harmless reactor fuel has prompted many in Washington to score Obama’s outreach effort a failure. “I don’t think anyone can doubt that our outreach has produced very little in terms of any kind of positive response from the Iranians,” Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said last week. The Price Is Right? Payoffs for Senators

Typical in Health Care Bill

Sen. Ben Nelson’s hardly the only lawmaker extracting sweetheart deals out of the health care reform bill.

While the Nebraska Democrat got a particularly juicy concession in exchange for a “yes” vote on the 10-year, $871 billion package — permanent and full federal aid for his state’s expanded Medicaid population — support from a slew of other senators likewise came with a price.

Western states got more money for hospitals that serve Medicare patients. Louisiana got up to $300 million in Medicaid benefits. The list goes on. Read more.

Immigration Enforcement Fuels Spike in U.S. Cases

Federal prosecutions reached a record high in the 2009 fiscal year, with the surge driven by a sharp increase in cases filed against immigration violators.

The 169,612 federal prosecutions were a jump of nearly 9 percent from the previous year, according to Department of Justice data analyzed by a research center at Syracuse University in a new report. Immigration prosecutions were up nearly 16 percent, and made up more than half of all criminal cases brought by the federal government, the report said. Read more.

Admin short on money for Thomson

Obama administration officials think they are unlikely to close the prison at Guantanamo Bay and move terrorism suspects there to Illinois until 2011 at the earliest, The New York Times reports.

The administration is having trouble finding money to replace the Guantanamo prison, and the delay puts Obama’s national security policy on a “far slower timeline,” the Times says. Read more.

Odd Couple Demands Probe of Rahm Emanuel at Freddie as More Money Rolls In

WASHINGTON — Two strange bedfellows have asked Attorney General Eric Holder to investigate President Obama’s right-hand man, chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, for his potential role in the near collapse of mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

The letter by Jane Hamsher, founder of the liberal Firedoglake Web site, and Grover Norquist, Americans for Tax Reform Chief, was sent Wednesday, one day before the Treasury Department announced that it will lift the $400 billion financial cap on loans to the government-sponsored enterprises to make sure they stay afloat. SBI looks into possible witness tampering in RC Soles case

The State Bureau of Investigation is looking into possible witness tampering in the case against State Senator RC Soles. Sources tell WWAY, two of the people involved in the shooting at the Senator’s house have been spotted following him around Tabor City.

A Columbus County grand jury has asked prosecutors to seek an indictment on Soles for assault with a deadly weapon for shooting 22 year old Kyle Blackburn. The shooting happened in August. Read more.

Federal Debt Limit Hike Wins Final

Congressional Approval

WASHINGTON (Reuters) –A divided U.S. Senate gave final congressional approval Thursday to a $290 billion hike in the federal debt limit, enough to finance the record U.S. deficit for another two months while the United States digs out from the worst recession since the 1930s.

On a largely party-line vote of 60-39, the Democratic-led Senate approved legislation for the increase. One Republican voted yes and one Democrat voted no. Read more.

Republicans Look for Mechanisms to Halt Health Insurance Bill

The Senate battle may be over for now, but Republicans are vowing the war is not yet lost.

Congress may be gone for several weeks enjoying a winter holiday, but Republicans say they will keep up the pressure on Democrats who succeeded in getting their Senate health insurance overhaul bill passed before Christmas — if just barely.

Several GOP lawmakers say they are still hoping to peel back support for the bill among budget-minded Democrats who are certain to hear from furious constituents over the long break about the overwhelming cost of the $871 billion, 10-year legislation. Read more.

Federal Health Care “Reform” Proposal Would Add $600 Million to N.C.’s Already Strained Budget

North Carolina’s state budget is already at the breaking point. In order to “balance” the current year’s spending plan, lawmakers grasped at a patchwork list of revenue, including more than $1 billion in state tax hikes, $1.4 billion in federal “stimulus” funds and nearly $100 million from various state “trust funds.”

Yet even as states such as North Carolina are struggling to cover their spending commitments, a central part of the federal health care “reform” effort is to further expand the second-largest state-funded program: Medicaid.
North Carolina’s Medicaid program covers about 20 percent of the entire state population. The program is funded by both state and federal appropriations, and North Carolina’s funding share is typically the largest state spending commitment behind only public education. Because of North Carolina’s budget woes, the federal stimulus plan gave the state $857 million this year to help close the budget gap for the Medicaid program – increasing federal matching funds from $2 to $3 for every state dollar spent. ARRA funds, however, are quickly running out and it appears inevitable that the state will need to find yet more money to fund the $10 billion dollar program. Read more.

Read the constitution and get back to basics

Source: Chicago Daily Herold

Wake up America. This great country was founded on a document created by leaders who had escaped from a tyrannical government and came to a new land to give all men freedom; and equality.

It is the constitution of the United States of America. Most of the freedoms included, were freedom from the government. This document has served over the years to make America what it is: the land of the free, and the home of the brave. Now we have come to a testing of that document. Read more.

Do you remember the scene? The Senate. Barbara Boxer hearing from a Brigadier General? Silly General! He addresses Barbara as “Ma’m”, and she CORRECTS him, telling him she’s “worked SO hard to earn the title, “Senator”, so please to use that when speaking to her.

Senate Dems struggle to get health care on track

WASHINGTON (AP) – Sen. Joe Lieberman strongly rebutted charges Monday that he flip-flopped to oppose the expansion of Medicare as part of health care legislation, as Democratic leaders struggled to getPresident Barack Obama’s top domestic initiative on track for passage by Christmas.

“Contrary to the claims of anonymous aides, Senator Lieberman told (Majority Leader Harry) Reid on Friday that he had problems with the Medicare provision,” said Marshall Wittman, a spokesman for the Connecticut Independent.

“This position was also told to negotiators earlier in the week. Consequently, Senator Lieberman’s position came as no surprise to the Democratic leadership. Any contrary charge by aides who cowardly seek to hide under the cloak of anonymity is false and self-serving,” he added. Read more

Time Is Running Out for Climate Change, U.S. Negotiator Says

The chief negotiator for the U.S. at the climate summit in Copenhagen says leaders have made some progress, but that it is not enough and time is running out to come up with deal that all countries can agree on.

“We don’t have very much time,” said Todd Stern. “The clock is ticking it like a big hourglass. We’ve made some progress, but we still have a long way to go.”

The rift between rich and poor nations remains a major sticking point. Read more.

Bart Gordon retiring

Rep. Bart Gordon (D-Tenn.) announced he’s not running for re-election this morning, becoming the fourth House Democrat from a politically-competitive district to announce retirement plans in the last month.
“I feel honored that the people of Middle Tennessee have allowed me to serve them for the past 25 years,” said Gordon. “Every decision I have made in Congress has been with their best interests in mind. I hope the people here at home feel that I have served them as well as their good advice and views have served me.

“When I was elected, I was the youngest member of the Tennessee congressional delegation; now, I’m one of the oldest. In fact, I have members of my staff who weren’t even born when I took office. That tells me it’s time for a new chapter.”

Gordon becomes the tenth House Democrat to retire this election cycle, with over half of them in districts Republicans plan to aggressively contest. His announcement follows the post-Thanksgiving retirements of Reps. Dennis Moore (D-Kan.), John Tanner (D-Tenn.) and Brian Baird (D-Wash.) – all of whom represent politically-competitive districts. GOP brings concerns on jobs, climate

House Republican leaders used a trip to the White House Wednesday to deliver a letter to President Barack Obama expressing concern with plans for a new economic stimulus bill, cap-and-trade legislation and the president’s trip next week to Copenhagen.

At the White House for a meeting on jobs, the Republicans struck a cautionary note in their hand-delivered letter, writing that government intervention was not the way to create jobs.

House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio), House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.), House Republican Conference Chairman Mike Pence (R-Ind.) and Rep. Dave Camp (R-Mich.) also expressed concerns about a “binding emissions reduction scheme” they believe would cost U.S. jobs, referring to the administration’s plans for a political agreement on emissions standards that’s likely to be discussed at the U.N. climate conference in Copenhagen. Inconvenient Truth for Gore as Arctic Ice Claims Don’t Add Up

There are many kinds of truth. Al Gore was hit by an inconvenient one yesterday.

The former vice president, who became an unlikely figurehead for the green movement after narrating the Oscar-winning documentary “An Inconvenient Truth,” became entangled in a new climate change row.

Gore, speaking at the Copenhagen climate change summit, stated the latest research showed that the Arctic could be completely ice-free in five years. Read more.

Guantanamo Detainees Will Be Moved to Illinois

WASHINGTON (AP) — Taking an important step on the thorny path to closing the U.S. detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, the White House plans to announce Tuesday that the government will acquire an underutilized state prison in rural Illinois to be the new home for a limited number of terrorist suspects held at Guantanamo.

Administration officials as well as Illinois Sen. Richard Durbin and Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn will make an official announcement at the White House.

Officials from both the White House and Durbin’s office confirmed that President Barack Obama had directed the government to acquire Thomson Correctional Center in Thomson, Ill., a sleepy town near the Mississippi River about 150 miles from Chicago. The officials spoke on the condition of anonymity to avoid pre-empting Tuesday’s announcement. Read more.

Obama gives himself a B-plus — an A-minus if health care passes

In giving himself “a solid B-plus” for his presidency to date, President Obama also showed how high a political premium he places on new health care legislation.

“B-plus because of the things that are undone. Health care is not yet signed. If I get health care passed, we tip into A-minus,” Obama told Oprah Winfrey during Sunday’s night’s broadcast of Christmas at the White House: An Oprah Primetime Special.

Obama and aides are keeping a watchful eye on efforts by Senate Democrats to forge a health care compromise. Read more.

NC State senator won’t run for re-election, says he’ll leave

office after 18 years

State Sen. David Hoyle has decided not to seek a 10th term in the General Assembly and will leave office next December after representing Gaston County for 18 years.

“I didn’t intend to serve for as long as I have,” Hoyle said Wednesday. “I thought I’d serve for 10 or 12 years, but the citizens kept electing me.”

Hoyle, D-Gaston, took office in 1993 and was re-elected eight times, fending off Republican challengers in his heavily conservative home county. Of Gaston’s five delegates to the General Assembly, Hoyle is currently the lone Democrat. Read more.

Editorial – Soles has met his term limit

The events of 2009 should send a strong message to state Sen. R.C. Soles Jr. that it’s time to bow out. The window for a graceful exit, however, has passed. The choice now may be to leave or wait to be forcefully removed from office.

A Columbus County grand jury has recommended indicting the longtime senator in connection with a shooting on his property. His guilt or innocence in that matter will be decided in the courts. But the court of public opinion cares little about legal technicalities such as a conviction.

Soles’ reputation – always a little suspect since his first indictment in the Colcor investigation of corruption in his home county – has been tarnished to the point that he can no longer represent his constituents effectively or with honor. He turns 75 this month. For the good of his district and the integrity of the N.C. Senate, such as it is, he should throw in the towel while he has a chance to leave on his own terms. Read more.

Iran’s Motives

Now that the Iranian government has taken a clear stand — in effect ignoring the international community and all agreements — it’s time for a resolution on the nuclear question. The only issue left for the international community to decide is which course of action to initiate.

More diplomacy, sanctions or other nonmilitary measures will, at this point, only fail. The Iranian regime has prepared for most conceivable outcomes. One example: the agreement between Venezuela and Iran that has Iran receiving 20,000 barrels of petrol daily. This agreement was forged in September in preparation for possible sanctions against Iran by the international community. Read more.

Climate Talks Sail Into Rough Seas

COPENHAGEN — Nothing seems to be going smoothly as the U.N. climate negotiations reach their climax here.

Inside the Bella Center, a bloc of major developing countries clashed with the conference’s Danish hosts today over rumors that a new last-minute proposal was being put together among a small group of key countries.

The United States, with instructions from the White House, challenged a separate draft agreement to tackle climate change floated in the early morning hours by a special ad hoc U.N. panel.

And amid the snow flurries outside, Copenhagen transit officials temporarily shut down the main Metro train station at the conference center as police fired tear gas at hundreds of protesters who tried to storm the heavily guarded site. Read more.

Angry liberals: Why didn’t Obama fight?

More than anything else in Barack Obama’s presidency so far, health reform has exposed a get-a-deal-at-any-cost side of Obama that infuriates his party’s progressives.

And as Democrats tried to salvage health reform Tuesday, some liberals could barely hide their sense of betrayal that the White House and congressional Democrats have been willing to cut deals and water down what they consider the ideal vision of reform.

“The Senate version is not worth passing,” former Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean told POLITICO, referring to plans to strip the latest compromise from the bill, a Medicare buy-in. “I think in this particular iteration, this is the end of the road for reform.” Read more.

Copenhagen or Hopenhagen? Socialism by any other name is still socialism

Iran may be upset with Obama but Hugo Chavez still praises his name. Wake up America, global warming is not about protecting the environment any more than universal health care is about health care for all. Our government is being deceitful by covering their interior motives with layers of what appears to be good deeds and humanitarian efforts. Everybody wants to clothe the homeless, feed the poor and help the sick. But if you peel back these layers of good intentions you still wind up with a ball of manipulation.

The President is on his way to Copenhagen today to commit the US’s “fair share” into the 10 billion dollar ‘world money pot’. This money is the redistribution of wealth from the nations that have supposedly ruined developing countries with their greenhouse gasses. Senator John Kerry promises this, “I will tell you right now, 100 percent, we are going to pass major climate and energy legislation that is going to have an impact on emissions…the concerns that kept us out of Kyoto back in 1997 are still with us today, and we need to preempt them here in Copenhagen.” Read more.

Poll: Americans Overwhelmingly Oppose GITMO Transfer

A new poll released by Gallup shows that nearly two-thirds of Americans oppose the idea of closing the Guantanamo Bay prison in Cuba and moving terrorist suspects held there to prisons in the U.S.

This may be problematic for President Obama, who plans to do just that. Earlier this week, it was announced that the federal government would acquire the Thomson Correctional Center (pictured at left), an underused state prison in the rural town of Thomson, Illinois, and use it to hold Guantanamo Bay detainees as well as federal prisoners.

Sixty-four percent of Americans said they opposed the transfer of Guantanamo detainees to U.S. prisons, and only 30 percent of Americans said they supported it. These numbers have remained fairly constant since May, when 32 percent believed detainees should be transferred to the U.S. and 65 percent did not. Read more.

Dems use vote to tweak GOP on troops

The early-morning Republican opposition to a procedural vote on the Defense department’s spending bill is giving some Democrats a rare opportunity to bash the GOP on its support of the troops.

Some of the same rhetoric that has been used to paint Democrats as weak on national security is now being used against Republicans, who voted en masse against the measure in a move to delay voting on health care overhaul legislation.

Sen. Mark Begich (D-Alaska), less than a year into his first term in Washington, had some harsh words for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.). He called their Friday news conference “somewhat shameful” after McConnell said he knew that the spending bill would pass but voted against ending the debate. Read more.

WakeUpAmerica.com Asks for Donations to Help Create Change

In 2008 MoveOn.org and Acorn took over America for Barak Obama and the radical socialists. WakeUpAmerica.com was founded in August 2009 to counter these groups — A CONSERVATIVE organization poised to Take Back America from Radical Socialism that is running rampant in the US.

Our mission is to organize conservative citizens across America, and to spread the Truth through TV ads about the radical socialists calculated agenda whose far leftist policies are changing our country's fundamental philosophies, legislation, and policies. A new government that is run by unions and special interest groups with the goal of a new world order.

It is shocking how few Americans realize the depth of corruption and liberalism that are attacking this country.

Obama's ratings have dipped to an all time low for American Presidents since WWII, as Americans begin to wake up from their slumber to realize this is not the change we were promised during his campaign.

His socialists agenda includes government takeovers of the banking, insurance, automotive, healthcare, and energy. That is only the begining.

Enough is Enough. The time has come to stand up. Americans are recognizing his inability to lead a nation of our caliber, and want real change.

The American people are showing their dismay with a President who promised change for America, but did not expect such radical left wing socialist change.

Obama has surrounded himself with convicted felons, devout communists, and unaccountable Czars with socialist roots.

He continues to push his unpopular and surprisingly radical socialist agenda by taking over banks, insurance companies, automotive industry and pushing for a government run healthcare system.

Now he is trying to funnel unused TARP monies in yet another disguised Federal stimulus plan aimed at small business.

All this, despite Congress’s decision for the unused funds to be paid back to the American people to pay down the trillion dollar national debt, not a sludge fund for Obama and his cronies to spend as they see fit.

Obama’s money printing press is running wild, while the dollar devaluates at an alarming rate. Now cap and trade kicks off in Copenhagen.

Let's audit the Fed and see where our tax payer money is truly going - you will be painstakingly sickened to see the results. BUT it must be done.

TV Ads have begun running in North Carolina and South Carolina, and we want to bring this cause to all of America.

We need your help to create and air more TV Ads that demonstrate the truth about the current siege on American liberties!

Obama's Approval Rating Drops to 47%

The most recent Gollup Poll shows Obama's approval rating continues its downward slide amidst a number of political defeats and not following through with campaign promises.

Despite Congress's decision for the unused funds to be paid back to the American people to pay down the trillion dollar national debt. Obama's money printing press is running wild, while the dollar devaluates at an alarming rate. Now cap and trade kicks off in Copenhagen.

Press Secretary Gibbs and the White House dismiss the polls as elementary and meaningless, but the American people want answers about the economy, underemployment, and unemployment. In addition they want answers to several broken campaign promises and have tremendous concern about the decision to bring 9/11 terrorists to US soil for a civil trial. Wake Up America. The numbers do not lie, while your President is and has been lying to you. This is the worst first 11 month report card for a US President since WWII. Is this the promise of change that narrowly won the 2008 elections?

Rumsfeld Blasts Apparent Obama Lie in Afghan Speech!

According to Fox News, today, December 2nd 2009, former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld issued the following statement:

“In the speech to the nation President Obama claimed that Commanders in Afghanistan repeatedly asked for support to deal with the re-emergence of the Taliban, but these reinforcements did not arrive.”

“Such a bold misstatement, at least as it pertains to the period I served as Secretary of Defense, deserves a response.”

“I am not aware of a single request of that nature between 2001 and 2006. If any such requests occurred, repeated or not, the White House should promptly make them public.”

“The President’s assertion does a disservice to the truth, and in particular to the thousands of men and women in uniform who have served and sacrificed in Afghanistan.”

“It is in the interest of better understanding of the President’s announcement last night, and I suggest that the Congress review the President’s assertion in forthcoming debate and determine exactly which requests were made and who made them…” (Fox News on-air, 12/2/09)

WHY WOULD OBAMA SEEMINGLY MAKE THIS UP? WILL HE PROVE HIS ASSERTION? A PRESIDENT CAN’T JUST LIE IN AN ADDRESS TO THE NATION. YOUR MOVE, MR. PRESIDENT. See the TV ad being talked about around the nation, showing Barack Obama as the “Face of Socialism” at WakeUpAmerica.com
